BBWCupid vs Fat F-Buddy: Which Fits You?
What each is built for, how membership works and who should pick which.
BBWCupid is built for serious dating, so pick it for a steady partner. Fat F-Buddy is built for casual, no-strings meets, so pick it for a regular arrangement or an occasional meet-up. Both are aimed at BBW and plus-size women, big men and their admirers.

Serious dating or no strings?
BBWCupid talks about serious dating on its homepage, and its Community Guidelines ask profiles to serve genuine dating purposes and ban unsolicited sexually explicit messages. For a steady partner, that is a sensible brief. For a no-strings arrangement, it sits outside what the site was built for.
Fat F-Buddy starts from the other end: casual is the point, and daily matches weigh what you want alongside age range, distance and shared interests.
Mistake to skip: joining a serious-dating site and hinting at casual in your bio. Match the site to your purpose, then say it plainly.
What BBWCupid does well
Staying power
It says it started in 2005. Its Terms name the operator and a business address, and Australia’s business register shows Cupid Media Pty Ltd as active, registered since 2003.
Clear rules, deep advice
Its published rules say a photo must show only the member, unaltered, and rule out money requests. Its Dating Safety page goes beyond reporting and blocking to cover scams, meeting in person, consent and sexual health.
Fifteen languages
The site comes in fifteen languages, English included, handy if English is not the language you flirt in.
Money, in words
Know what you are paying for
BBWCupid
- Before you pay. Creating a profile costs nothing, and the Terms describe a free membership with limited features.
- Paid levels. Gold, Platinum and Diamond. Platinum and Diamond add advanced matching, message translation and extra room in search results, and Diamond adds prioritized messages, priority support and a highlighted profile.
- Renewals. Automatic, and the Terms say you can switch renewal off in the Help section.
- Refunds. Full refunds for technical problems or if you ask before contacting any member, and no partial refunds for unused time.
- Before you pay. Two things decide whether a level is worth it: the price and what a free member can do with messages. Read both at sign-up, before you hand over a card.
Fat F-Buddy
Classic is the entry level, and VIP and VIP Plus are the two you pay for. Plans renew until you cancel, except 12-month ones. The pricing page shows every plan and how to cancel, and the features page shows what each level adds.
Can you trust it, and will it work on your phone?
- ID and video checks
- Fat F-Buddy offers a free ID check for a profile badge and a live video check with a moderator, no documents needed. BBWCupid’s Dating Safety page covers reporting, blocking, scams and consent, and its photo rule asks for an unaltered picture of you. Our safety page lists the rest.
- Moderation
- BBWCupid’s Terms say staff may investigate profiles and monitor messages and chat for compliance. On Fat F-Buddy, software and human reviewers screen uploads, and you can block or report in a tap.
- On a phone
- BBWCupid has its website and an Android app, so iPhone users use the website. Fat F-Buddy opens in your phone’s browser and can sit on the home screen with its own icon. The BBW hookup app page has the steps.
- What reviewers say
- On October 17, 2026, BBWCupid’s Trustpilot page showed 1.8 out of 5 from fewer than 300 reviews, a third giving five stars and two in five giving one. Only people who chose to post count, so it is a mood, not a measurement.

BBWCupid questions, answered
Is there a BBWCupid alternative for casual hookups?
BBWCupid is built for serious dating, so a no-strings arrangement sits outside what it is for. Fat F-Buddy names casual up front and is made for BBW, BHM and admirer meets. If a steady partner is the goal, BBWCupid fits.
Is BBWCupid free?
Creating a profile costs nothing, and the Terms describe a free membership with limited features. Gold, Platinum and Diamond are the paid levels. What a free member can do with messages is worth checking at sign-up, before you pay.
Is BBWCupid real?
It is a working business with a named operator. Its Terms name Cupid Media Pty Ltd, Australia’s business register lists that company as active, and the site says it started in 2005. Check any profile with our fake profile guide.
How do I cancel BBWCupid?
BBWCupid memberships renew automatically, and the Terms say you can switch renewal off at any time in the Help section. Do it before the next renewal date, because the refund policy offers no partial refunds for unused time.
Does BBWCupid have an iPhone app?
No. On October 17, 2026 the US App Store listed no BBWCupid app, so iPhone users use the website, while Android users also get an app. Fat F-Buddy opens in your phone’s browser, and a home-screen icon makes it feel like an app.
